I must be mad! Answers on a postcard please :-)

Okay, so here’s a sign of advancing madness.

I was sitting high above Collina the other day working on some new stools for the bar area (full of nice stool type animations!) when a message popped up to say a store was available to rent in Tombstone Winslow… Fantastic, I thought, finally an excuse to make lots of older themed things!

No time to change in to theme (fortunately Winslow is a commercial district) so I hot footed over there in a *very* bright yellow dress to look at the place and rent, hurrah! A couple of days went by and I’ve had great fun putting items together that are in theme for the place I call Victoria’s, you can see I’m good at naming!

Anyway…

After a few days I thought I’d go for a walk around and see who else was there, oh, and to check out the competition of course, when I came across the hotel I lived in for a few months when I was first in Tombstone, La Posada. The place, the real life one, has a fascinating history, although not actually built until 1929 so actually out of theme, but hey ho, I’m not complaining as the style devised by the designer (in RL) was decidedly eclectic! Fantastic, I can do eclectic :-)

So I rented. Am I mad? Have I not enough to do already?! Apparently not, but it’s great fun and a testament to Second Life that you can at least try to do these things if you want to! I’ve certainly really enjoyed the last couple of days making new items to try and get that eclectic feel right, or at least started, more importantly I’ve really enjoyed meeting my first residents!

So, if you happen to be in Winslow, then pop on in to La Pasada, say “hello”, have a coffee, laugh at my folly for doing this and maybe, just maybe, stay for a while, I tell you what, if you take a room ($100 a week) and tell me you read about it here I’ll give you 10% back :-)

Meanwhile, I’ve beds to change!
