Not a minute in SL today, too busy with RL once again. It’s summer and i’m trying to make headway on all of my non-virtual projects. I spent a little time inworld yeaterday, but was sooooo annoyed with the glitching interface acting up. I made little headway on my super-secret project.
Then I just got tired of returning objects to myself that would not delete. I sure hope LL gets everything back in order. honestly, I could care less about voice, (other companies offer free software that handles voice great) just fix what you already have instead of breaking it even worse.
I would just like to get my project done so I can go play with my friends that I miss so much.

The Out of Order Show, it is what brought Andrea and I into SecondLife. We have met so many great podcasters since we joined a year ago. Our goal was to put out an episode every week . . . . but then we found SL! . . . oh and RL raises it’s ugly head more than we would like it to, but we have somehow managed to get another show out this evening. you can find us in iTunes, our homepage: www.oooshow.com or stop by our myspace page - www.myspace.com/oooshow and it will play through the embedded flash player. Please add yourself to our fantastic friends list while you are there. There is no need to download anything and you don’t even need an iPod!
Please note:the content of our show is explicit, not meant for kiddies and only worksafe if you have earbuds.

LOL! really, this had me laughing out loud for a bit. I just noticed the feature of SLStats that lists your total time spent in each sim that you have visited. Well it comes as no surprise that the majority of my time has been spent in SoHo since it is my home sim. The thing that i found to be funny is the fact that the sim with my fav texture store is not only in my top ten, but not too far from the top. Some shop for shoes or that perfect outfit, but it seems that I spend a good share of time shopping for the perfect texture to use in current and future builds.

Today was a good day allthough it has been a slow week for business. I am not sure how it happened, but none of my classifides renewed. I thought there may have been a simple slump in business, it happens to us all, but this was something different. I checked my SLBuzz traffic meter and noticed that my traffic had dropped suddenly to 10% of what it had been. I popped up my profile and noticed that none of my classifides were listed. I did a simple search under classifides and they were not there either.
I reposted two of the three advertisements that I had before. I wish that LL would try harder to let us know when something in the system glitches and takes away a tool as powerful as the classifides. So if your traffic has dropped to a trickle - check your profile and see if this happened to you too!

I’ve been pretty busy this week so my inworld time has been quite limited. I did make a new firstland house, but does that even matter now that LL has stopped the firstland program? Way to go, I wonder how many premium accounts will drop back to basic since this reduction in value. But back to the topic at hand - which is the ugliest prim. I understand that to many SL is a hobby (possibly combined with a slight addiction) and many people try building because it is fun and there is a certian joy in completing a project but what if the final product is horrid. I’m talking really bad. The other day my friend was sifting through her inventory and pulled out something that looked like a giant hookah as seen through the eyes of someone that was trippin harder than even Hunter S.Thompson had ever experienced. No, I’m not joking. I admit that I am honest and sometimes a bit blunt. I take building quite seriously and like things to be perfect. So back to Hunter which brings me back to Loathing . . . and this week I hate prefabs that look like doublewide trailor houses. Sure, there are some modulars on the market (RL) that look decent but most have the basic doublewide shape w/ prefab siding. I really can’t take it.
And i’m not sorry for the rant, catch me inworld and i’ll show you structures that do not look like trailors and you don’t have to own half of a sim just to rez them.

I’m only a few months away from my rez date (265 days inworld so far)and i just passed my RL rez date, 12783 heh. It’s interesting how your perspective changes after spending so much time inworld. I initially joined because I am a podcaster and I was interested in networking with others and promoting the Out of Order show www.oooshow.com & www.myspace.com/oooshow (shameless plug :) Having spent the last 12 years creating solid models, prototypes and renderings in 3d I became fascinated with creating objects in SecondLife.
Last week I made a few chairs and some matching tables. This week I created a custom bed for a friend, finished five houses and started building what may become a museum. I still get tickled when I hear the cha-ching and see the blue box that lets me know someone liked something that I created enough to add it to thier home and sometimes they actually purchase thier home from me! :)
